Mrs. Jones - Kindergarten Tells How to Cook a Turkey

Blaise - Mommy, Daddy, Caroline, and Brayden, my cousin, drive to Walmart to buy a turkey. You have to saw any of the bad and gross parts off the turkey to get it ready. You cook it in the oven at 6 degrees for 80 hours. It is done when I can smell it. The kids get served first. You can have stuffing, carrots, rolls and a drink with your turkey. For dessert you can have vanilla ice cream.

Bobby - Mommy, Camryn, and me will go to Acme or Walmart to get our turkey. You have to clean the turkey and then you put gravy on it. Cook it in the oven at 45 degrees for one hour. It is done when you hear the ding on the oven. You can have carrots, corn and gravy with your turkey. Vanilla ice cream would be good for dessert.

Katie - You should buy a turkey at Acme. Cut out the bad parts to get it ready, Cook it at 10 degrees for 10 minutes. My oven will beep when the turkey is done. You can have peas, gravy and mashed potatoes with your turkey. For dessert you can have strawberry ice cream with sprinkles.

Bridget - My family will go up to a place near my Aunt Barbara's house and get one. You have to shoot the turkey first then bring it home. You cook it at 10 degrees. It would take an entire afternoon to cook! My oven dings when the turkey is ready. You can have cranberries, carrots, peas and corn with your turkey. Chocolate ice cream with chocolate sprinkles would be good for dessert.

Hailey R. - You buy a turkey at the Acme. You take off the plastic and clean it off by putting water on it. You cook it in the oven at 5 degrees for 15 minutes. It is done when the oven goes ding. With your turkey you can have rice and gravy but no vegetables. For dessert you can have pumpkin pie.

Jessica - My mommy will take me to CVS to buy a turkey. I would put the gravy in a pan with the turkey and stick it in the oven. You cook it at 69 degrees for 69 minutes. The timer beeps on my oven when the food is done. You can have stuffing and mashed potatoes with your turkey. For dessert you can have Phillies ice cream.

Ava - My Pop Pop kills a turkey with an arrow and my Mom Mom gets it ready. You have to pull off the feathers and cut off the head and feet. You cook it in the oven at 14 degrees for 1 hour and 1 day. It is done when the grownups say, "It's ready!" You can have carrots and green beans with your turkey. For dessert you can have chocolate and vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and cherries.

Jacob - We will go to Acme to get our turkey. You have to take the turkey out of the wrapper and stick it in the oven. Cook it at 62 degrees for 100 minutes. When it is done my mom will pull it out of the oven. You can eat gravy, potatoes and a salad with your turkey. Apples would be good for dessert.

Lacey - This year my grandmother is giving us a turkey. You get that squirty thing and spray water all over the turkey. Then you cook it in the oven at 10 degrees for 20 minutes. To see if it done I would smell the bread with the butter cooked then I would see the turkey on my table. You can eat bread with butter, carrots and green beans. For dessert you can have chocolate chip cookies.

Joslyn - My aunt Joan, my Nana and my family will buy a turkey at Pathmark. Take it out of the plastic and wash it in the sink. Then you cook it in the oven at 3 degrees for 5 minutes. It is done when you look at the timer and it dings. You can have carrots and mashed potatoes with your turkey. For dessert you can have orange sherbet.

Jasveer - You get a turkey at the market like Acme. You wash it off then wrap it in plastic. Then you put hot dogs and bread on top. You cook it at 25 degrees for 14 days. After 5 days you should check it. If it's not ready then wait 6 months and check it. It is ready. You can have spaghetti with your turkey but no vegetables. For dessert you can have pancakes but don't put anything on them.

Ashley - Mommy, Kayla and me go to the Acme to buy a turkey. I would clean it with water, cut it up and put it in the oven. Cook it at 6 degrees for 7 days. My mom will know when it's done and she'll take it out of the oven on time. Youy can eat corn, chicken, broccoli and spinach with your turkey. For dessert you can have popsicles.

Jonah and Hanaa were absent.
