Our Class News

Friday was so much fun!
In Mrs. Ward's group we made a Nature Collage out of things
we collected on our nature walk for Family Homework.
In Mrs. Jones' group we did activities with a leaf and recorded
our results in My Leaf Book. Print a copy to do at home!
In Mr. Twaddell's group we read a book called Look What I Found
and compared our collection to what the boy found on his nature walk!

Thanks to our Homeroom Parents and Helpers
for the special snack and treat bags and for playing games with us!
You made Halloween awesome!

We look at our fish every day. They are fun to watch!
Last week 2 goldfish and 1 guppy died.
Both classes did "The Ceremony" in our bathroom to say goodbye.
The children were very thoughtful and observant of our fish's behavior.
"He hid in the plants so well. He made me smile when I looked at him.
He was a good swimmer. He was beautiful and made my heart happy."

Please Remember our Class Allergies
when helping in our room or sending in treats.

Reading in Kindergarten

In our small group, each child reads each book out loud using strategies
to figure out the words such as, getting your mouth ready, using picture clues,
looking for little words in big words, and remembering sight words.
At home, your child should read each book out loud to a grownup
then should add the title to our monthly Read-To-Me form.
Keep all the books we make in your "Book Treasure Box"
so your child can practice reading anytime!
